Global Ports Holding (GPH), a London-based company that is The world's leading independent cruise terminal operator and is wholly owned by Turkey's Global Investment Holdings (GIH), will expand its terminal network including the Scottish port of Clydeport. The company has in fact signed a 50-year concession contract with the Clydeport Operations of the British group Peel Ports, which is owner and operator of the Scottish port of call, to operate the Greenock Cruise Port cruise terminal.

Last year at Greenock Cruise Port, which is about 40 km away kilometers from Glasgow, more than 80 ships from cruise and this year a further increase in the traffic that is expected to continue in 2026.
