Like the other major shipping companies containerized worldwide, in 2024 the Israeli ZIM recorded a clear recovery in economic performance and, compared to the other major maritime carriers in the market, also an accentuated growth in the volumes of containerized goods carried by the fleet. Last year, the Israeli carrier's revenues amounted to 8.42 billion, with an increase of +63.3% on the year annual 2023. Ebitda was 3.67 billion compared to a negative EBITDA of -1.04 billion in 2023. In 2024 also the operating result and the economic result returned to positive territory, having been equal to $2.53 billion and $2.15 billion against sign results negative for -2.51 billion and -2.69 billion in the year previous.

Last year, ZIM's container fleet transported cargoes of 3.75 million TEUs (+14.3%), activities which generated revenues of $7.08 billion, up +79.4% mainly due to the +56.9% increase in value average sea freight rates which was equal to 1,888 dollars/teu. There are three maritime markets in which the company achieved the best operational results since that of the transpacific routes on which 1.60 million TEUs (+27.3%), activities that generated revenues of to $3.92 billion (+120.3%) and which recorded a value average sea freight rates of 2,444 dollars/TEU (+73.1%). Still the growth in cargo volumes was more marked transported on routes with Latin America that amounted to 514 thousand TEUs (+77.2%), an increase in goods that produced a significant increase of +99.0% in total revenues in this of $845.8 million, compared to an increase in lower than the +12.3% of the average value of freight rates, which is state of $1,646/TEU. Volumes of cargoes carried on the Atlantic routes with Europe, amounting to 555 thousand TEUs (+29.4%), to which the services of line previously transiting through the Suez Canal due to of the Red Sea crisis, a market segment in which revenues are amounted to $687.8 million, an increase of +8.1% on the previous year. 2023 held back by the -16.4% drop in the value of freight rates on average at $1,240/TEU. On the other hand, the containers transported on the routes through Suez and 332 thousand TEUs (-14.0%) against a marked increase in the relative revenues and average freight value, respectively $864.5 million (+76.0%) and $2,607/teu (+104.8%). In Containers transported by intra-Asian services also decreased, equal to to 764 thousand TEUs (-18.6%), a market in which revenues amounted to 762.9 million dollars (+23.7%) and the average value of freight rates at $1,022/TEU (+51.9%).

In the fourth quarter of 2024 alone, ZIM's total revenues amounted to $2.17 billion, up +79.8% on the corresponding period of the previous year. EBITDA is was 967 million (+419.9%). Operating profit and net profit are amounted to 657.6 million and 562.7 million compared to the results of negative sign of -53.6 million and -146.6 million in the period October-December 2023.

In the last quarter of last year, the company's ships transported a total of 982 thousand TEUs (+25.1%) and in the Period, the average freight rate was $1,886/TEU (+71,1%). On the transpacific routes, 412 thousand were transported TEUs (+29.2%), 87 thousand TEUs on routes through the Suez Canal (+61.1%), on the Atlantic ones with Europe 139 thousand TEUs (+19.8%), on intra-Asian routes 203 thousand TEUs (-1.5%) and on those with Latin America 142 thousand TEUs (+56.0%).
