
In 2024, the Wallenius Group's fleet of car carriers
Wilhelmsen transported a total of 57.2 million meters
cubes of vehicles, down -9.7% year-on-year
determined by the reduction in volumes on all major routes
with the exception of the one between Asia and the west coast of the South
America on which 5.5 million cubic meters were transported
(+11,5%). On routes between Asia and North America, the following were transported
13.5 million cubic metres (-23.1%), on routes from Asia
to Europe 8.5 million (-19.8%) and from Europe to Asia 6.0 million
(-23.1%), on routes between Europe and North America/Oceania 4.2
million cubic metres (-27.4%), on the Atlantic 9.2 million
(-2.1%) and on other world routes 10.2 million cubic meters
(-4,0%).
Last year, the group's revenues amounted to 5.31
billion dollars (+3.1%), of which 3.94 billion generated by
maritime transport activities (+1.4%) and €1.20 billion from
logistics activities (+4.9%). Operating profit was
of €1.29 billion (+5.2%), with a contribution of €1.14 billion from the
shipping (+4.6%) and 78 million from logistics (+15.3%). The profit
was $1.06 billion (+9.4%).
