
It will be the Italian group Fincantieri to assure the necessary ability to build the two new ships for Marella Cruises, plan that is announced last week from the German TUI that owns the crocieristica company

25 March 2025). The contract, confirmed today by the two parties who have signed a specific memorandum of understanding, will have a value of more than two billion euros. The deliveries of the two units are planned in 2030 and 2032.
The company of Trieste has evidenced that "this agreement represents a fundamental stage for Marella Cruises, that for the first time undertakes the construction of new naval units, choosing Fincantieri as strategic partner to drive this evolution. At the same time, the understanding marks the beginning of a new collaboration for Fincantieri, that enriches its customer portfolio with a new brand in the crocieristico field". "The ships - it has explained moreover Fincantieri - will be designed to measure for the British market and will have a strong orientation towards environmental sustainability. With an elegant design, fine materials and a wide choice of spacious accommodation, they will redefine the concept of premium cruise".
