
In the first quarter of 2025, the ships of the Orient Overseas
Container Line (OOCL), the container shipping company
which through OOIL is controlled by the shipowning group
COSCO Shipping Holdings, transported goods in containers
equal to 1.96 million TEUs, with an increase of +9.3% on the
corresponding period of last year. In the first three months of
this year this activity generated revenues of 2.31
billion dollars (+16.8%).
In the first quarter of 2025, the largest volumes of cargo were
transported on intra-Asian routes and with Australasia
which amounted to 927 thousand TEUs (+7.4%), a market whose share
of quarterly revenue amounted to $743.3 million
(+24,2%). On the transpacific routes, the container ships of the OOCL
transported 556 thousand TEUs (+23.8%), an activity that
produced revenues of $895.3 million (+21.9%). Services
Asia-Europe maritime transport 344 thousand TEUs (-4.1%), with
related revenues amounted to $504.8 million (+2.3%).
On transatlantic routes, volumes transported amounted to
136 thousand TEUs (+8.1%) and related revenues at 170.3 million dollars
(+10,4%).
