In 2010 the turnover of the Group cruise and hotel Cypriot Louis amounted to 275.7 million euro, an increase of 3.0% compared to 267.6 million euro in the previous year which was caused by the growth of ' 8% (+15.3 million euro) turnover generated by the cruise, thanks to the entry into service at the beginning of the cruise ship Majesty Louis (former Norwegian Majesty), which offset the decrease of 8, 8% (-7.2 million euro) of the turnover generated by the hotel business of the group.
The operating result (EBITDA) amounted to € 56.6 million, down 5.9% compared to 60.2 million euro in 2009.Louis said that the increase in turnover was not accompanied by an increase in operating profit mainly because in 2009 a share of revenues of 10.8% million euro, was created by occasional charter vessels, and because of decline in sales of hotels, which had a negative impact on the outcome. Louis said that, excluding extraordinary income in 2009 and losses determined by the hotel business, EBITDAR of 2010 were up 17.1% (+8.5 million Euros) over the previous year.
