Tuesday to Bari will be introduced Given the Port project Exchange



Next tuesday to Bari, near Sala Comitato of the Harbour Authority of the East, will be introduced the results of project PDE - Given Port Exchange, yields of the collaboration between the ports of Bari and Durrës, that it is put into effect with the purpose of the modernization of the procedures of harbour management and the adaptation to the international standards. The project, for an expense of 50.000 euros, is financed by the Department for the Development and the Economic Cohesion of the ministry of the economic Development in the within of the program "the Southern Italy-Balkans" approved of with Deliberation CIPE n.1/2006.

The Harbour Authority of the East, of understanding with that of Durrës, has developed, with own Office Technological Innovation, an application called software CRIO (Exchange of Information in Adriatic Ports) for the data and exchange of information between the two ports with the possibility to make to expand the net to other transboundary truths. Through CRIO the two Harbour Authorities can be exchanged, in real time, regarding information the departures of the ferries from every port on the Bari-Durrës draft, with benefits to organizational level and of security. This function is allowed from the module COBRA that produces to the exchange automatic rifle of information beyond executing the recording and the publication of the relative data to the passengers and the average presents on every ferry.

Moreover the system is placed side by side by the SEEN module, that - by means of the data sent from systems AIS (Automatic Identification System) of the ships, received from a station installed to Durrës connected to the system of the analogous stations located in the Ports of Bari, Barletta and Monopolies - it allows elaborations in real Time for localization of the ships on map and for the automatic esteem of the timetables of arrival and departure in the ports of the Network.

At last the GIVEN module is available, that it assures the elaboration statistics of the relative data to the operating ferry boats on the Bari-Durrës line.
