Shining semiannual performance of Bureau Veritas



In the first half of the 2015 society of classification and certification Bureau Veritas (BV) it has recorded an emphasized improvement of the economic results having had closed the period with a profit clearly of 182,2 million euros on revenues for 2,32 billion euros, in increase respective of +13.2% and +17.9% on the first semester last year. The operating profit is piled to 335,9 million euros (+20.6%).

"In the first semester of 2015 - the managing director of the French group has commented, Didier Michaud-Daniel - Bureau Veritas has realized a remarkable performance in a difficult total situation of market. The group has achieved an sensitive increase of the revenues and remarkable margins, on the wake of a resumption in Europe and of the optimal result of Offshore the Marine activity &".

In the single Offshore segment Marine &, in fact, the transalpine group has recorded revenues for 202,2 million euros regarding 150,4 million euros in the first half of 2014 and the rectified operating profit is piled to 54,7 million euros regarding 40,2 million euros in the first six months last year.

"Graces to aimed acquisitions - it has continued Michaud-Daniel - our activity in China, that it is in increase, are upgraded. Parallel we have got ahead initiatives in order to inside accelerate the increase and the operating excellence of the group". From the beginning of the 2015 French group it has realized four acquisitions in the Chinese market of the constructions, of the industry and the produced ones to the consumption, of which three (Ningbo Hengxin, Shandong Chengxin and CTS) have contributed to the increase recorded in the first semester of this year and one (Shanghai Xietong) have been capacity to term 9th July. These acquisitions represent annual revenues pairs to 65 million euros and a force job of beyond 1.500 people.

Michaud-Daniel previews an attenuation of the rhythm of increase in the second half of this year: "taking into consideration the slow down of the world-wide economy and the emphasized decrease more of the prices of the oil - it has explained - in the second half of the year of the 2015 increase it would have to be less dynamic regarding the first semester. For entire year 2015 we attend an light improvement of the organic increase regarding a 2014 and improvement of the operating margin thanks to the initiatives of excellence from the operating point of view. The group - it has specified the CEO of Bureau Veritas - will continue to generate consisting cash-flow. Moreover acquisitions aimed in interest markets will contribute to the total increase".
