the Global Russian Ports records a strong contraction of the economic results and the enlivened volumes



The Russian terminalista group Global Ports has closed the first half of 2015 with an emphasized deterioration of the economic results, contraction that is effect also of strong depreciation of the ruble. Global Ports has evidenced that the operating costs of the first semester of 2015, pairs to 116,3 million dollars (- 5.8%), include a reduction of the value pairs to 46,7 million dollars determined from a variation of the forecasts of the performances of the container Ust-Luga terminal Container Terminal (ULCT) and that the rectified operating result for losses of value turns out to be pairs to 120,9 million dollars, with a decrease of the -4,1% on the first semester of 2014. Moreover the group has emphasized that the clearly analogous rectified profit turns out to be pairs to 72,1 million dollars, in increase of +8.9% regarding 66,2 million dollars in the first six months last year.

In the first semester of the 2015 Finnish terminal of the group they have enlivened a traffic of the container pairs to 128 thousand teu, with an increment of +5%. The enlivened oil traffic altogether from the terminals of Global Ports is dropped to 3,3 million tons regarding 4,1 million in the first half last year. Decreasing they have turned out also the traffics of rotabili, that units (12 thousand in the first semester of the 2014), and motors vehicle, attesting to 56 thousand unit are piled to 6 thousand (62 thousand), while the bulk traffics sand banks have grown going up to 525 thousand tons regarding 412 thousand in the first six months last year.

"In the course of all the first semester of the 2015 - the president of Global Ports has commented today, Tiemen Meester - macroeconomic scene in Russia it has continued to introduce difficulty influencing the question of the consumers. Even if this has had a strong impact on the imports, from the 2013 we are assisting to an increase of the exports that constitutes a promising development". Meester has specified that Global Ports previews that such scene will not endure changes in the second half of 2015.
