FS Italian improves the economic results also with the contribution of contracts of service and the cessions



In the 2016 group Italian Railroads of the State it has recorded an sensitive rise of the economic results regarding the exercise anniversary precedence that is produced mainly by the improvement of the performances in the second half of the year let alone by the effect of the cession of asset and, in the segment of the transport services, from the greater contribution deriving from service contracts.

2016 have been archived item with a profit clearly of 772 million euros on operating revenues pairs to 8,93 billion euros, with increments respective of +66.4% and +4.0% on 2015. The company has specified that the increase of the revenues is realized "also through operations of valorization of asset concluded in the course of 2016, in coherence with the lines guides of industrial Plan 2017-2026, among which the cession of part of the business of management of the commercial spaces not Core through the sale of Great Stations Retail".

The single revenues from transport services, activity carried out through the Trenitalia goods, Mercitalia, Busitalia and Netinera Deutschland, this last operating one in Germany, are piled to 6,93 billion euros (- 0.1%), of which 4,04 billion from the market (- 1.5%) and 2,36 billion from contracts of service (+2.6%). The EBITDA of the group has attested to 2,29 billion euros (+16.1%) and the operating profit to 892 million euros (+38.5%). The single field of the transport has achieved an operating profit of 280 million euros (- 32.9%) and a profit clearly of 164 million euros (- 27.4%).

In the single field Infrastructure, acts mainly through Italian Railway Net (RFI) let alone from Italferr in the engineering, the revenues have turned out pairs to 2,32 billion euros (+4.6%), the operating profit to 208 million euros (+37.7%), and the profit clearly to 174 million euros (+56.8%).

In the second half of the year of the 2016 Italian railway group it has totaled a profit clearly of 486 million euros on operating revenues pairs to 4,68 billion euros, with increases respective of +182.6% and +6.5% on the first half of 2015. The EBITDA has been pairs to 1,29 billion euros (+25.4%) and the EBIT to 548 million euros (+76.2%).

Last year the total number of the staff of the company is gone up to 70.180 units regarding 69.002 to end 2015 also for effect of assumptions and social acquisitions, between which 1,200 dependent of Railroads East South.
