
The Port System Authority of the Tyrrhenian Sea
Settentrionale is the first Italian port authority to achieve
practice-based gender quality assurance
UNI/PDR 125:2022, which defines the guidelines for the implementation
of a management system oriented towards gender equality. The
recognition was issued by the certification body
Certiquality and testifies to the progress made by the port authority,
which administers the ports of Livorno, Piombino and the Island of Elba, in the
path of analysis and implementation of policies aimed at
equal treatment within the working environment, and
during the performance of their institutional duties.

certification obtained today is the result of a
coordinated by the valuable work of the Single Committee of
Guarantee, and aimed at making diversity and inclusion a
of the essential pillars of well-being at work". This

achievement of certification is an important point
starting point: now we must continue with determination on the path
of innovation undertaken".
In the coming weeks, the Single Guarantee Committee, led by
by the director Antonella Querci, will organize meetings with the
companies in the cluster to initiate coordinated actions that promote the
gender equality within the sector. Among the objectives
to be achieved is to launch a training program of
both internal and external mentoring, dedicated to supporting women
in their professional growth towards managerial roles and
Management.
