
In 2024, the German terminal group Hamburger Hafen und
Logistik AG (HHLA) reported record revenue of 1.60 billion
of euros, with an increase of +10.5% on the annual year
and with an increase of 20 million compared to the previous one
2022 all-time high. Last year, the only revenues generated by the
core business of container port terminals has reached the
record of 1.56 billion euros, up +10.8% on 2023.
EBITDA and EBIT amounted to €309.0 million, respectively
(+7.4%) and €134.3 million (+22.7%), with contributions from the terminals
283.4 million (+8.2%) and 117.8 million (+26.8%).
Profit after tax amounted to €56.4 million
(+33.1%), of which 46.9 million generated by port terminals
(+50,8%).
It should be remembered that last year container traffic in the
HHLA's port terminals amounted to 5.97 million TEUs
(+0.9%) to which is added a busy intermodal traffic
by the company amounting to 1.79 million TEUs (+11.6%)

February 2025). We also remember that last year the
Swiss shipping group Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has
acquired 49.9% of HHLA's share capital

In the fourth quarter of 2024 alone, HHLA reported revenues
equal to 415.3 million euros, a value that represents a new record
for this time of year and an increase of +16.4% on the last
quarter of 2023. Revenues from the activities of the
amounted to €405.8 million (+16.8%). EBITDA of
was €88.5 million (+12.8%), EBIT was €41.1 million
million (+21.6%) and profit after tax of €15.9 million
euro (+18.4%).
