
Last February, the port of Ravenna handled 2.09
million tons of goods, with an increase of +2.1% generated
by the increase in bulk volumes that have more than
offset the decline in miscellaneous goods. In the latter sector, the following are
176 thousand tons of goods in containers (-9.9%) with a
handling of containers equal to 15,721 TEUs (-7.8%), 124 thousand
tons of rolling stock (-21.3%) and 505 thousand tons of freight
conventional (-8.8%). In the liquid bulk sector, at one
growth of +8.8% in petroleum products to 225 thousand
tons was matched by a decrease of -3.2% of the other
cargoes dropped to 162 thousand tons. Dry bulk cargo amounted to
to 900 thousand tons, with an increase of +17.1% produced
mainly from the higher volumes of agricultural products that have
totaled 314 thousand tons (+2,051.7%).
The Port System Authority of the Central Adriatic Sea
Settentrionale announced that from the first estimates for the month of
March 2025, a total movement of almost
2.7 million tonnes, representing an increase of
+16.9% compared to the same month last year and one of the most
high in the history of the port.
