
Fincantieri has announced an investment in WSense, a company
Specialized in underwater monitoring and communication systems
with which the Italian shipbuilding group had entered into
a collaboration agreement

December 2023). Fincantieri specified that the investment
provides for the subscription of a loan convertible into equity for
an initial amount of €2.5 million, with the possibility of
to increase the investment by a further amount of 2.5
Million. The completion of the investment in WSense will be
subject to the fulfilment of certain conditions set out between the
parties and obtaining the required authorisations
for this type of operation.
Fincantieri announced that the collaboration between the two
company has already delivered concrete results, including
the awarding of three tenders promoted by the National Pole of the
Underwater dimension. These projects involve the development and
the implementation of advanced communication solutions
diving, exploiting the complementary skills of the two realities.
In addition, Fincantieri and WSense are actively engaged in the
participation in further national and European calls for
innovation in the underwater sector and in commercial proposals

Meanwhile, today, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Muggiano (La

by Fincantieri (51%) and Leonardo (49%), delivered to the Navy

The FREMM programme, launched in 2005 with the delivery of the first
