New guidelines for medical examinations of seafarers could cut insurance claims, a shipowners' organisation said.
The International Shipping Federation (ISF) said the new guidelines recommend governments set up control and approval systems over maritime medical examiners to cut levels of illness found in seafarers from developing countries.
