Kvaerner axes 600 UK jobs

Engineering giant Kvaerner is to shut down a rig-building plant, with the loss of 600 jobs.
The yard, at Port Clarence on Teesside, will be mothballed until at least next spring.
Nine hundred workers have already lost their jobs there because the yard's main contract - to complete a project for oil exploration company Amerada Hess - is coming to an end. ...... Read more on BBC News
