MUMBAI, MARCH 1: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has identified nine minor ports for developing basic infrastructure by the Indian government including capital dredging, breakwater, berths, back-up areas and wharves to boost coastal shipping. The nine ports include Gopalpur, Cuddalore, Vizhinjam, Azhikal, Malpe, Karwar, Ratnagiri, Dharamtar, Magdalla.
The conclusions are part of the study prepared by TCS to analyse the factors that have stymied the growth of coastal shipping in the country
