QUETTA, Pakistan : June 07 (PNS) - Three berths will be ready for operation as the first phase of the Gawadar deep water port would be ready by January next year, six months ahead of schedule.
This was stated by Mir Ahmed Bux Lehri Director General Gawadar Development Authority at a press briefing about Gawadr Master Plan here on Sunday. He said that the first phase would be completed at a total cost of dollar 248 million. Referring to port related facilities, he said that five highways are being constructed to connect the port with other parts of the country and further to the Central Asian Countries and Afghanistan facilitating tradewith these countries as well as India and Iran
