Asian all-water services accounted for 41% of the East Coast port's box volume last year

(SINGAPORE) Asian cargo is expected to account for half of the containers handled at the Port of New York New Jersey (PONYNJ) by 2010, after the aggressively marketed all-water route boosted Asia volumes by 15 per cent last year.
Asian all-water services accounted for 1.8 million TEUs - or 41 per cent of the East Coast port's total containerised cargo of 4.07 million TEUs in 2003
