Tanzania has suspended the privatisation of the general cargo terminal and other facilities at the Dar es Salaam Port, The EastAfrican has learnt.

The facilities were to be leased for 20 years to private operators beginning September. Local and international firms that had tendered for the project two months ago now have to wait for another year as the government considers the options available to make the port more efficient ......
