 Lo scorso mese il traffico container nel porto di Los Angeles è aumentato del 5,1% attestandosi a 563.786 teu, contro 536.461 teu movimentati nel giugno 2002. La crescita è stata determinata dal forte incremento della movimentazione di container vuoti rispediti in Asia, ammontata a 173.103 teu (+16%). Gli sbarchi e gli imbarchi di container pieni sono stati rispettivamente pari a 301.151 teu (+3,1%) e 89.532 teu (-6%).
Nel primo semestre di quest'anno il traffico è stato di 3.427.976 teu, con una progressione del 21% rispetto allo stesso periodo del 2002.
