Within year-end the dependent of Costa Crociere will be able to work from remote for a day to the week



Within the end of this year the 1,300 dependent of Costa Crociere will be able to work from remote for a day to the week. It previews in program "Sm@rt Working Costa - Moving Forward" that already it is started by the crocieristica company and that all over the world addresses to all the 1,300 dependent of its offices. In Italy, in the headquarters of Genoa, they will be the almost thousand people who within end 2017 will be able to work from remote.

Coast has explained that the dependent will be able to choose a day to the week in order to work from house or in another suitable place to they choice, thanks to use it of laptop, Internet connection and a program of softphone that they afford on hand of having also from remote the services of instant messaging, telephone, video HD, conference, voicemail with visual interface and sharing desktop.

The program already has left in the genoese headquarters as a result of a phase "pilot" of experimentation that has involved two departments (Human Resources and IT) having recorded an adhesion of about 90%. Within the turn of the year "smart working" it will come progressively extended also to all the other foreign centers of the company in Europe and America. The company has evidenced that between the immediate benefits there will be that relative one to the reduction of the time employed in the displacements, more than an hour to the day in average for the dependent Coast, besides the greater sustainability of the job from the environmental point of view.

The project "Sm@rt Working Costa - Moving Forward" of Costa Crociere 2017 of the Observatory of the School of Management of the Polytechnic of Milan is rewarded in occasion of Smart Working Award, thanks to its ability to innovate the modalities of job in optical of "smart working".
