In July the traffic of the goods in the port of Genoa has increased of +1.5% and in the port of Savona-Vado has dropped of the -0.7%

In July 2022 the port of Genoa alone handled 4.52 million tons of cargoes, with a rise of +1.5% on July 2021, an increase of +21.6% on July 2020 and a decrease in -4.7% on July 2019. In Savona-Vado the traffic amounted to 1.26 million tons, with a reduction of -0.7% on July 2021, a growth of +21.9% on July 2020 and a progression of +1.2% on July 2019.

Last month the traffic of various goods in the port of Genoa has attested to 3,09 million tons (+5.1% on July 2021, +15.3% on July 2020 and -6.3% on July 2019), of which 2.12 million tons of containerized cargo (respectively +8.2%, +18.1% and -7.5%) totaled with a movement of containers equal to 227 thousand teu (+0.9%, +20.7% and -9.0%) and 967 thousand tons of conventional goods (-1.1%, +9.6% and -2.8%). In the liquid bulk sector the port of call of the Ligurian capital has enlivened 1,13 million tons of mineral oils (+1.3%, +53.0% and +7.9%), 53 thousand tons of chemical products (+31.1%, +33.0% and -15.4%) and 40 thousand tons of vegetable oils and wine (+35.5%, +57.3% and +35.3%). Solid bulk traffic in the field commercial was equal to 54 thousand tons (-40.3%, -3.4% and +112.7%) and in the industrial sector to 87 thousand tons (-44.4%, +3.6% and -53.5%). In the passenger sector, ferry traffic is state of 469 thousand people (+26.5%, +81.1% and +6.8%), while the crocieristi have been 143 thousand, with an increase of +249.6% on the July 2021 and a rise of +5.8% on July 2019, traffic that July 2020 was absent due to the pandemic.

Last month the traffic of various goods in the port of Savona-Vado Ligure has been of 611 thousand tons (+10.7%, +24.1% and +19.5%), including 235 thousand tons of goods containerized (+9.8%, +94.7% and +423.3%) made with a handling of containers equal to 21 thousand teu (+17.3%, +74.1% and +382.5%) and 377 thousand tons of conventional goods (+11.3%, +1.2% and -19.3%). In the liquid bulk segment the traffic is state of 493 thousand tons (-8.5%, +19.3% and -7.0%) and in that of dry bulk of 145 thousand tons (-14.6%, +19.6% and -26,2%). In Savona the ferry passengers were 121 thousand (+132.6%, +284.4% and +89.0%) and cruise passengers 52 thousand, up by +105.2% on July 2021 and +2.4% on July 2019.

In the first seven months of 2022 the port of Genoa has enlivened a total of 30.85 million tonnes of goods, with percentage changes of +5.3%, +18.6% and -3.7% respectively on corresponding periods of 2021, 2020 and 2019, while the port of Savona-Vado handled 9.16 million tons, with an increase of +17.2%, +27.8% and +12.3%.
