    Il n’y a pas que le domaine des grands trafics containérisés où l’on évolue à l’heure des concentrations. Le short sea n’échappe pas à ces nouvelles tendances comme en témoigne l’initiative que viennent d’entreprendre le groupe Seatrans et Nor-Cargo AS de Bergen, qui se traduit par la création d’une joint-venture sous le nom de Sea-Cargo AS. En d’autres mots, il s ‘agit d’une intégration de leurs activités en mer du Nord. Seatrans détient 60% de la nouvelle compagnie ainsi créée, contre 40% pour Nor-Cargo.

    Le Cargo Village de l’aéroport de Liège-Bierset va accueillir dès septembre prochain une implantation de Premier Farnell Plc, distributeur mondial de composants électroniques et électriques. Le logisticien a signé pour ce faire avec la société Weerts un contrat de location de 24 ans d’un entrepôt de 13.000 m2. Le site, qui sera opérationnel dans un an, occupera une centaine de personnes.
