
Fincantieri has signed contracts with the U.S. company Viking
for the construction of two new cruise ships following
of the exercise of the options granted and announced in April 2014

April 2025). The two new units, which will resume the
characteristics of the ships previously built by the group
Italian for the American shipowner, will be built at the
Ancona construction site with deliveries scheduled for 2032. Fincantieri has
announced that the value of the agreement is between 500
million and one billion euros.
The new ships will be positioned in the segment of units
and will have a gross tonnage of
approximately 54,300 tons, with a capacity of 998 passengers
accommodated in 499 cabins. They will be carried out in compliance with the most
recent environmental regulations and the most advanced standards of
navigation and safety.
This new order follows the contracts announced in the months
