In ottobre ad Algeciras la conferenza Medtrade sull'evoluzione del traffico container nel Mediterraneo

Si svolgerà dal 16 al 19 ottobre prossimi ad Algeciras la conferenza Medtrade 2001, organizzata dalla società di consulenza Maritime Intelligence Unit (MIU) per analizzare l'evoluzione del traffico container nei porti del Mediterraneo. Verranno presi in esame i mutamenti infrastrutturali che hanno caratterizzato i porti e i terminal, così come l'evoluzione del mercato del trasbordo dei container e dei servizi di feederaggio sia in ambito mondiale che mediterraneo.

A Medtrade parteciperanno i principali rappresentanti dei porti mediterraneo, delle compagnie di navigazione, degli operatori portuali e della Commissione Europea.

Nei primi due giorni del meeting si svolgerà il programma della conferenza, mentre nel terzo giorno si svolgerà un workshop incentrato sulle riforme tariffarie. Nell'ultimo giorno i partecipanti potranno disputare un torneo di golf al Golf Resort Almenara de Sotogrande sponsorizzato dalla Puerto Bahía de Algeciras.Medtrade 2001

For this innovative session, all the speakers are asked to imagine that they are operating in the year 2010 and to describe their respective operations as well as the principal changes they have undergone in the previous decade. The session will open with a scene-setting presentation and then will move to a working panel session where senior industry management present their views in relation to their specific industry sector.

16.50 This interactive debate between a cross-section of the earlier speakers will identify and debate what the Conference has identified as the priorities in order to maximise growth in the Mediterranean container industry up to 2010 and beyond. By way of conclusion of the 2001 Medtrade Conference & Exhibition, delegates will be asked to vote on each of the priorities identified by the speakers from different industry sectors.
Hans Peters, Conference Chairman, will summarise the priorities.

The two day conference will be accompanied by a small exhibition.
