The European coordinator of priority project 6 will meet all ports of Alto Adriatico



Laurens Jan Brinkhorst, the European coordinator of Priority Project 6 of the European Union constituted from the railway director Lyon - Trieste - Divaccia - Ljubljana - Budapest - Ukrainian Hungarian border/, will meet the representatives of all ports of Alto Adriatico, from Ravenna until River passing for Venice, Trieste and Koper. He has proposed today the same Brinkhorst to the regional city council member to Infrastructures of the Friuli Venice Julia, Riccardo Riccardi, in the course of an encounter to Brussels.

"I agree fully with the hypothesis of the European coordinator - its Riccardi has said from part - and in that center, as already today I have however looked on to Brinkhorst - she has added - it will be opportune that beginnings to speak itself about that "parity of harbour conditions" between partner, of which for a long time we are indicating the requirement". "The factors of competitiveness between the ports of call of various nations - Riccardi has explained - are famous: from the fiscal pressure (unfortunately without comparisons between Italy and our "neighbors", as Slovenia, and Austria for the attrattività of new industrial localizations) to the costs of labor, from the customs inspections to the safety rule".

Riccardi and Brinkhorst have among other things estimated very positively the fact that they give first of December, with center in the same palace of Trieste (in via Julia) that she accommodates the offices of the direction Infrastructures and territorial Planning of the Region, will begin to be born the structure of the Geie, the European Group of economic interest between the two national railway agencies of Italy and Slovenia - respective group Italian Railroads of the railway State and the Slovenian Agency - than last July the intergovernmental Commission Italy-Slovenia, to the presence of the viceministro to the Transports, Mario Ciaccia, had ratified. A step a lot important - according to Brinkhorst - in order to find a physical place of encounter and argument on the future of the transboundary draft Trieste-Divaccia of the Mediterranean Corridor, "than is not Rome or Ljubljana or Venice" has evidenced the coordinator EU to the stregua of the analogous structure of Chambery, between France and Italy.

In the course of the today's Riccardi talk it has moreover restated to Brinkhorst that remains however strategic, is for the port of Trieste is for that of Koper, the concretizzazione of the railway draft between the two ports of call: "without this connection - it has emphasized the city council member - we do not have future strategy".

Riccardi therefore has attended to Brussels to the programmed reunion of the commission Transports of the European Parliament that until some day it makes on the agenda had the ballot on the provision that among other things previews the extension towards South (let alone towards Helsinki) of the Corridor Baltic Sea-Adriatic, towards the ports of the Adriatic North via railroad Pontebbana Tarvisio-Cervignano and from here East back (Trieste and Monfalcone) and the West (Venice and Ravenna). With a decision of the last days the ballot is moved to next 18 December, presumablly also for having more time on hand for the examination of about 900 amendments introduced, between which some, by two Slovenian europarlamentari, for a "correction" of the tracing towards Maribor and Koper.
