
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has
agreed on the renewal of the concession held by APM Terminals
Elizabeth, a subsidiary of the terminal operator APM Terminals
of the A.P. Møller-Mærsk shipowner group, for the
Operation of the port's second-largest container terminal
American. The new concession contract, which will have to
be approved by the board of directors on Thursday
of the Port Authority, has a duration of 33 years and extends the
expiry date of the act currently in force, set at
December 2029, until December 2062.
During the new contract, investments are planned to be
of APM Terminals amounting to over 500 million dollars also
for the modernization and maintenance of port facilities. The
