
From 21 to 23 May, the tests were successfully carried out
at sea of the
Adora Flora City, the second large ship of
China-built cruise that was made by China
State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC). The tests included evidence of
anchoring, anti-roll stabilization and maneuverability.
The Chinese company Adora Cruises has set for the next 22
November the departure of the maiden voyage of the
Adora Flora
City sailing from Guangzhou port to carry out
six international cruises that will touch Singapore, Malaysia,
Brunei, the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam.
The Adora Flora City, sister ship of the Adora Magic City,
the first cruise ship built in China, has a gross tonnage of
141,900 tons and has 2,130 cabins capable of accommodating
up to 5,232 passengers. The Adora Cruises fleet includes a
third ship, the Adora Mediterranea (formerly Costa Mediterranea)
which has a gross tonnage of 85,600 tons and a capacity
of 2,680 passengers.
