
The terminal operator APM Terminals of the group
Danish shipowner A.P. Møller-Mærsk bought the
Panama Canal Railway Company (PCRC), the company that manages
the 76-kilometre-long railway line parallel to and adjacent to the
Panama Canal which is mainly used for the
transport of goods between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans.
The company, which in 2024 recorded a turnover of 77 million
dollars and EBITDA of 36 million, was sold by Canadian
Pacific Kansas City Limited (CPKC) and Lanco Group/Mi-Jack.
