FPA silent on port fears FREMANTLE Port Authority officials are tight-lipped about their opposition to the proposed privately owned $60 million port development at Kwinana. FPA general manager Kerry Sanderson and chairman Ron Aitkenhead have declined to comment on reports referring to the ports concerns on the how the proposed port could inhibit Fremantles future expansion. A spokesperson for the FPA said port authority officials believed it was premature to comment on the proposal until they knew the outcome of the expressions of interest in the new port.
