Il s'agit du terminal Hessenatie/MSC dédié à cet armement et qui traitera plus d'un million de containers cette année là (1,4 mio. de TEU), et du terminal public que la Hessenatie exploitera sur l'autre versant de la darse à marée et sur lequel seront notamment concentrés les trafics de filiales du groupe CP Ships. En d'autres termes, en 2002 la zone portuaire de la rive gauche enregistrera un trafic de l'ordre de 1,96 mio. de TEU. Comment résoudre les problèmes de logistique terrestre que vont poser ces centres de transbordement, dans le cadre des pré-et post-acheminements de et vers l'hinterland, et n'oublions pas les transferts entre ces terminaux et ceux de la rive droite?
