    Lors du dernier Conseil européen des Transports, la ministre Ecolo des Transports Isabelle Durant n'a pas opté pour la solution qui donnerait le plus de chance à un essor du transport ferroviaire. Elle a défendu l'ouverture des réseaux plutôt que la libéralisation. Nous lui avons demandé pourquoi.
  • Sappi voudrait réutiliser la ligne ferroviaire Lanaken-Maastricht
    Pour une fois, les deux provinces du Limbourg, la belge et la néerlandaise, sont d'accord pour rouvrir une ligne de chemin de fer d'un peu plus de six kilomètres, entre Lanaken et Maastricht. Au profit des sociétés établies sur le zoning industriel de Lanaken, avec au premier rang la société papetière Sappi.
  • Route: modifications réglementaires en Suisse
    Bien qu'officiellement pas encore applicable, l'accord entre l'Union européenne et la Suisse, conclu il y a un an, va avoir des conséquences dans les prochains jours pour les entreprises. Les premiers changements vont porter sur la fiscalité routière. Le poids maximal autorisé reste fixé à 28 t. Son relèvement est prévu à partir de 2001. C'est ce que signale la FNTR.
  • Le projet Seine-Nord marque le pas
    Le projet Seine-Nord va-t-il enregistrer un nouveau retard? Le gouvernement français continue à pousser devant lui le dossier. La ministre de l'Aménagement du Territoire, Dominique Voynet, a décidé d'engager une réflexion d'ensemble sur les "schémas de service" dans lesquels doivent s'inscrire les grandes infrastructures de transport à vocation nationale ou internationale. Cette réflexion devait se clôturer au printemps, mais un nouveau délai n'est apparemment pas à exclure. Chez Voies Navigables de France (VNF), on reste résolument optimiste, même si on reconnaît que le projet Seine-Nord pourrait relever d'une "dynamique à plus long terme".
