    Il en était question depuis quelque temps. C'est maintenant officiel. L'armement Mediterranean Shipping Cy s'est engagé dans une commande de 10 PC de 6.700 TEU. Le premier sera livrable dès juin 2001. Ces unités sont appelées à desservir Anvers en direct où ils escaleront dès que possible au nouveau terminal à marée dédié à l'armement et réalisé dans le cadre d'une joint-venture à 50/50 avec le manutentionnaire Hessenatie.
  • Forte hausse des bénéfices de Volvo en 1999
    Le chiffre d'affaires du groupe Volvo (hors division voitures) est passé de 114,8 mia. de SEK en 1998 à 125,0 mia. de SEK en 1999, soit une hausse de 9%. Le bénéfice avant taxes du groupe a connu un bond de 11,6 à 34,6 mia. de SEK (dont 26,7 mia de plus-value sur la vente des voitures), et le bénéfice net est passé de 8,4 à 32,2 mia. de SEK. C'est ce qui a été annoncé à Göteborg.
  • La hausse du coût de revient des transporteurs routiers belges a été supérieure à 5%
    Suite à notre article paru le 12 février sur la hausse importante des coûts à laquelle les transporteurs routiers belges ont dû faire face en 1999, Devos, un collaborateur de la SAV, a tenu à souligner que la hausse avait été plus importante que les 5% que nous avions calculés. "Selon nous, les coûts ont augmenté de 8%, parce que la date de référence n'est pas le 1er janvier 1999, mais le 31 décembre 1998", dit-il.
  • STVA obtient un contrat PDI pour Ford en France
    La Société de Transport de Véhicules Automobiles (STVA), une filiale à 80% de la SNCF, a signé un contrat exclusif de trois ans avec le constructeur automobile Ford pour le transport et la préparation technique de toutes les voitures vendues par les concessionnaires français de Ford. Il s'agirait de 150.000 unités par an. C'est ce qu'annonce Les Echos. L'entreprise s'engagerait en outre dans le transport maritime intra-européen d'automobiles par le biais d'une joint-venture avec la Compagnie Nationale de Navigation (CNN), Transfesa et Zust-Abrosetti.
