Le texte du rapport devrait toutefois être remis sans modification aucune au gouvernement flamand. Seul Gand devrait émettre des réserves sur le fond. Il est cependant peu probable que le gouvernement flamand s’écarte de la conclusion de l’étude.
  • Les transporteurs belges exigent une modification de la loi sur le transport
    La Febetra et la SAV, ont publié un communiqué conjoint dans lequel elle exigent que le gouvernement belge respecte ses promesses faites dans l’accord du 14 septembre 2000. Un des éléments cruciaux de cet accord concerne la modification de la législation relative à la co-responsabilité. Rappelons que la troisième association, l’UPTR, mène campagne séparément en plaçant d’autres accents pour arriver à une amélioration de la santé économique du secteur.
  • Evergreen va-t-il aligner ses PC de 6.500 TEU sur l’Europe?
    L’année 2000 aura été particulièrement bonne pour Evergreen Marine Corp qui vu son CA augmenter de 14,7% à 60,49 mia. de TDW, soit 1,9 mia. de dollars US, tandis que son bénéfice net a progressé de 34,6% à 1,25 mia. de TDW ou 40,1 mio. de dollars US. Ces scores sont le résultat d’une pression continue sur les coûts. A noter que ces résultats ne concernent que l’entreprise taiwanaise et sa filiame de Panama Greencompass Marine SA. Il ne s’agit donc pas d’un résultat consolidé, les autres filiales maritimes du groupe n’étant pas impliquées.
