  • Paccar enregistre le deuxième meilleur résultat de son histoire
    Le groupe américain Paccar, représentant les marques de camions Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF et Foden, offrant des services financiers et distribuant des composants de camions, a vu baisser l’an dernier son CA ainsi que son bénéfice net par rapport à 1999, qui était toutefois une année record. Le marché nord-américain des poids lourds a connu un sérieux recul durant la seconde moitié de l’année. Mais le niveau record sur le marché européen a tout de même permis au groupe d’enregistrer le deuxième résultat de son histoire.
  • Alken-Maes construit un centre de distribution à Waarloos
    Dans le cadre de son plan quinquennal, le groupe Alken-Maes a décidé de centraliser la production de bière et les activités d’enfûtage à Alken. Cela signifie que la production sera interrompue à Waarloos. Le quartier général restera cependant fixé sur ce site, où un centre de distribution sera en outre érigé. La surface restante est vouée à devenir une zone PME.
