    Au Nigeria, les milieux d’affaires et de l’industrie lancent un cri d’alarme: si les ports ne sont pas rapidement désengorgés, certaines activités économiques vont cesser par manque de matières premières et de pièces de rechange. La situation est des plus critiques. Certaines entreprises ne disposent plus que de deux semaines de stocks. Jamais au cours des vingt dernières années, les ports du pays n’avaient connu de tels engorgements.

    Le Havre fait le forcing dans l’Est de la France. Il s’agit, pour les Havrais, de récupérer une partie du potentiel de trafic containérisable de cette région. L’Alsace, à elle seule, représente sur base annuelle quelque 100.000 TEU. Lors d’un récent passage à Strasbourg, une forte délégation havraise a clairement affiché les intentions du port normand. Grâce à la navette “Le Havre Shuttle” (LHS), qui désormais gagne Strasbourg en direct sans passer par le point nodal de Villeneuve, les Havrais espèrent gagner des parts de marché. Et cela en prenant une partie de leurs trafics à la voie d’eau.
