Ce centre constitue la première partie d’un plus grand projet et sera dans une première phase axé sur le transport routier et ferroviaire. Dans une phase ultérieure, qui ne sera réalisée que dans un an, le centre bimodal sera transformé en une installation trimodale impliquant également le transport via la voie d’eau.
  • Heppner récolte les fruits du partenariat à l’international
    Le groupe français de messagerie et de logistique Heppner a réussi à sextupler son bénéfice l’année passée à 2,87 mio. d’EUR, son chiffre d’affaires augmentant de 3% pour dépasser légèrement les 300 mio. d’EUR. Sans tenir compte de la cession l’année passée de la franchise DPD, la hausse du CA est même de 13%. Ces résultats confortent Heppner dans sa stratégie d’indépendance: le groupe familial n’a pas l’intention de céder à la mode des regroupements.
  • La Sabena en voie de devenir une compagnie régionale
    Si la Sabena veut survivre, elle devra être transformée en compagnie régionale. C’est tout ce qu’elle peut espérer et cela n’exclut pas pour autant une faillite éventuelle. Le président du comité de direction Christoph Müller a présenté son plan de restructuration au conseil d’administration hier. A l’heure de mettre sous presse, son contenu n’était pas connu.
  • Eurogate cherche toujours un point d’appui au Benelux
    Le groupe Eurogate, numéro trois mondial (mais numéro un européen) dans le secteur de la manutention de containers (parmi les exploitants de terminaux indépendants), continue à étudier la possibilité de s’implanter sur le marché du Benelux. Le groupe, né de la joint-venture à 50/50 entre l’opérateur hambourgeois Eurokai et son concurrent brêmois BLG, a traité l’année dernière un trafic global de 7,66 millions de TEU, en hausse de 20,5% par rapport à l’exercice précédent (1999 a été la première année d’activité d’Eurogate). Mais sous l’effet de la concurrence accrue et de son impact sur les tarifs, le chiffre d’affaires n’a progressé “que” de 11,6% (de 580,89 à 648,50 millions de DEM) et le bénéfice net de 4,4% (de 40,22 à 41,99 mio. de DEM). Exprimé en part du chiffre d’affaires, ce bénéfice net a reculé de 6,9% à 6,5%.
