  • Durant estime la décision de la SNCB sur ABX inopportune
    La ministre fédérale de la Mobilité Isabelle Durant estime que dans les conditions actuelles, il est peu opportun que le conseil d’administration de la SNCB se penche sur le dossier ABX vendredi prochain et prenne une décision concernant la nouvelle structure et le conseil d’administration de la filiale logistique de la compagnie ferroviaire belge (voir LL du 23/10). Elle s’inquiète en outre de la rentabilité des investissements dans ABX, notamment au niveau de l’afflux vers le transport ferroviaire.
  • La VeGHO va jouer un rôle phare au sein de la Communauté portuaire de Gand
    Les deux associations portuaires gantoises ont pris une nouvelle forme mardi soir. L’association des intérêts maritimes de Gand (VGZ,Vereniging Gentse Zeevaartbelangen), créée en 1904 et présidée depuis juin par l’administrateur délégué de Sidmar, Paul Matthijs - a fait place à la nouvelle VeGHO, l’Association des Entreprises liées à la Région portuaire gantoise (vereniging van Gentse havengebonden ondernemingen), qui sera dorénavant l’interlocuteur unique du secteur privé dans le port. La Communauté portuaire de Gand (GHG,Gentse Havengemeenschap), qui n’existe que depuis 1984, garde son nom, mais opérera principalement à l’avenir comme une plate-forme de concertation entre les entreprises, les autorités et les syndicats. La représentation du secteur privé au sein de la GHG aura exclusivement lieu via VeGHO, dont proviendra aussi le président - le directeur commercial de Watco, Marc Devogele - et la moitié des membres du conseil d’administration et qui doit jouer un “rôle phare” dans la définition des points de vue et stratégies. La réforme a surtout pour but d’optimiser le travail de promotion et de lobbying du port de Gand.
  • La moitié des entreprises express sont des firmes individuelles; 1/3 travaille avec des sous-traitants
    Une enquête de STV (Stichting Technologie Vlaanderen)-Innovatie & Arbeid sur toutes les entreprises express en Flandre et à Bruxelles a mis en évidence quelques faits marquants. Ainsi, plus de la moitié des entreprises express sont des firmes individuelles, 36% d’entre elles n’emploient pas de courriers et plus de la moitié des employés travaillent pour une des quatre grandes entreprises express DHL, UPS, TNT et/ou FedEx. Au niveau de l’avantage concurrentiel, la plupart des entreprises avancent la fiabilité des services, le tarif ne jouant pratiquement pas de rôle.
