A l’occasion de l’inauguration officielle du nouveau siège, Marc Adriansens, le general manager de CTO, a retracé les réalisations de cette filiale de Hessenatie. Sur le plan de la manutention de voitures, 2000 a été une année record et 2001 le sera aussi. Le dernier contrat conclu dans ce domaine concerne la manutention des Toyota provenant du Royaume-Uni et destinées à l’Irlande.

    “Equation”, le produit express de l’alliance aérienne SkyTeam Cargo, va être lancé officiellement vers l’Europe dès le 1 février 2001. Une décision qui tient compte du fait que l’express apparaît comme l’une des deux “composantes produits” appelées à soutenir la croissance du fret aérien mondial au cours des prochaines années. Dans le même temps, les partenaires de l’alliance harmonisent leurs options commerciales et techniques, notamment avec des contrats communs pour ce qui est des prestations relevant du GHA (General Handling Agent).
  • Evergreen va-t-il trouver la parade aux PC de 12 à 18.000 TEU?
    La direction de l’armement Evergreen étudie actuellement la possibilité de commander une série de vingt porte-containers rapides d’une capacité de 4.000 TEU, qui seraient alignés dans des services de navettes. Le projet en question impliquerait la desserte de deux ports seulement, un de chaque côté du segment de trafic concerné. Telle est l’idée que le président d’Evergreen Chang Yung-fa poursuit actuellement, dans l’optique d’un remplacement éventuel de son service tour-du-monde aux deux rotations westbound et eastbound.
