Luc Aladière avertit toutefois que si l’on veut vraiment multiplier par 2,5 le fret ferroviaire dans les échanges européens d’ici 2010, il faudra impérativement et préalablement faire sauter les goulots d’étranglement. A l’heure actuelle, la SNCF pourrait transporter au grand maximum 20% de plus que ce qu’elle fait actuellement. Pas plus.
