Malgré les efforts d’ABP pour répondre à certaines préoccupations environnementales, il y avait et il y a toujours beaucoup d’objections au terminal. Mais malgré la procédure épuisante concernant la réalisation du projet, Chestnutt est convaincu du fait que d’ici le début de 2004 les premiers navires pourront amarrer à Dibden Bay.
