Il y a par exemple les entreprises postales comme Deutsche Post et TPG qui veulent devenir des prestataires de services logistiques mondiaux, mais aussi des armements, comme Mærsk et NYK Line, qui s’aventurent sur la même voie.
  • Kalmar veut asseoir sa position de leader de marché
    Le groupe suédois Kalmar, qui fait désormais partie du groupe finlandais Kone, vient de présenter en Suède de nouvelles générations de reachstackers ContChamp et ContMaster, et de chariots élévateurs industriels mi-lourds. Avec ces nouveaux produits, Kalmar veut asseoir son leadership dans les deux secteurs, ont annoncé les responsables de l’entreprise à la presse spécialisée internationale.   • PSA voudrait prendre pied en Amérique du Nord
    Le groupe de manutention PSA Corp de Singapour a maintenant les yeux tournés vers les Etats-unis pour procéder à de nouvelles expansions dans le domaine des terminaux à containers. Ce groupe est actuellement présent en Asie, au Moyen-Orient, sous-continent indien et en Europe (au sud en Italie et au nord ... avec Hesse Noord Natie à Anvers). Au total le groupe est présent dans 13 ports. Selon le nouveau président de PSA Stephen Lee, les USA constituent le chaînon manquant du réseau. L’intérêt porterait d’abord sur la côte Ouest, ce qui est logique puisque cette partie des Etats-Unis traite le plus grand volume des échanges avec l’Asie.
