  • Londres va investir 5 mio. de GBP dans la sécurité au terminal de Fréthun
    Le Royaume-Uni est prêt à porter une partie des coûts visant à optimiser la sécurisation du terminal ferroviaire à Fréthun, près de l’entrée du tunnel sous la Manche du côté de la France. Les Britanniques sont disposés à libérer 5 mio. de GBP afin de réduire le flux de réfugiés qui envahissent l’île depuis cet endroit.
  • La gendarmerie a dû dégager l’accès au Mont-Blanc par la force
    Deux convois de poids-lourds ont pu emprunter le tunnel du Mont-Blanc après une intervention des forces de l’ordre. Celles-ci ont dû faire usage de grenades lacrymogènes au cours de la nuit de mardi à mercredi pour repousser 200 manifestants qui bloquaient la rampe d’accès au tunnel du Mont-Blanc à Chamonix. La France tient en effet à respecter ses engagements vis-à-vis de l’Italie. Rome, de fait, voit son économie souffrir gravement des problèmes de transit alpin. Le gouvernement italien a d’ailleurs accentué sa pression sur la Suisse pour que la situation au tunnel du Gothard s’améliore.
