  • Luxury cruise line upbeat despite oil cost
    Crude oil prices may be rising, but that is not softening demand for luxury cruises in the Asia-Pacific, says Kenneth Watson, chief operating officer of Silversea Cruises. Mr Watson was in town yesterday as the company's newest ship, Silver Spirit, made her inaugural visit to Singapore as part of a 119-day world cruise, 'Spirit of Discovery'.
  • Tanker owners may seek Japan premium
    Some oiltanker owners are seeking additional fees for carrying cargoes to Japan, the world's third-largest crude consumer, according to Stena Bulk AB, which operates a fleet of more than 80 vessels.
