the Harbour Authority of Gioia Tauro begins the procedure in order to realize a new passenger terminal in the port of Crotone



The Harbour Authority of Gioia Tauro has announced the realization of a new passenger terminal in the port of Crotone in order to receive five thousand the tourists of the ten cruise ships that in the course of this year will call at the calabrian port. The objective of the agency is that to increase the services offered from the crotonese port so that it can be inserted rightfully and in constant way in the international circuits of the cruises.

The preliminary project, written up from the Technical department of the harbour authority, previews "Work of supply and rests of a tensostruttura with structure to arc in wood to lamellare". In the specific one, the new passenger terminal will be equipped of a structure to arc with elements carrying in wood to lamellare and of a closing with walls in steel that could be also in glass in order to offer the panoramic visibility of the harbour area. To complete the services offered from the harbour port of call of Crotone, in the project it is previewed, inside of the tensostruttura, the realization of two bodies to assign to the toilets. Altogether the surface to cover for the realization of the project, to arrange on the pier of the port, will have an extension of about 600 square metres.

The Harbour Authority has specified that the award of the contract will be defined shortly seen the necessity to equip the port of call, in the short possible time, of new passenger terminal. After the award of the contest, the work will have to be realized within 50 days from the delivery, the time limit considered necessary for the supply and the relative assembly of the structure. The work Made up of auction will be financed by the Harbour Authority of Gioia Tauro for a total amount pairs to 268 thousand euros.

Moreover the Harbour Authority of Gioia Tauro has communicated the publication of the ban of award of the work of completion of the water, antifire net and of collection of white waters in the port of Corigliano Calabro. The work, that they have a total value pairs to million euro financed entirely from the harbour agency, will have to be delivered within 12 months from the award and will have the objective to improve the functionality and the operativity of the port and meanwhile to adapt the harbour area to the existing norm in matter.
